The National Meteorological Organization has informed the public about the warning of rainfall and the possibility of flooding in 23 provinces. These showers, which will include scattered downpours, have started today and will continue for the next three days. The provinces of Gilan, Mazandaran, Golestan, and other northern regions of the country will be affected by these rains.

Forecast of Rainfall and Thunderstorms

Scattered showers, thunderstorms, and temporary strong winds are predicted in Gilan, Mazandaran, Golestan, Ardabil, East Azerbaijan, West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, and Kermanshah. Kobra Rafiei, an expert from the Meteorological Organization, emphasized that these weather conditions could lead to rising river waters, flooding of pathways, and runoff. Additionally, there is a possibility of temporary strong winds and dust storms in some areas.

Risks Associated with Weather Conditions

The risks associated with this situation include the breaking of old trees, damage to temporary structures and agricultural products, and slippery roads. In this regard, people, especially in the northern and central provinces of the country, should exercise necessary caution in their travels and daily activities. Furthermore, regarding the phenomenon of dust, it is predicted that in the eastern strip of the country, temporary strong winds and dust storms could affect air quality and reduce horizontal visibility.

The Caspian Sea will also face adverse weather conditions. Increased wind speed and wave height in the coastal areas of Mazandaran and Golestan have led to maritime warnings. These conditions could result in drowning of swimmers, damage to recreational boats, and disruption of vessel traffic. In this context, swimming is discouraged and the movement of light and recreational boats in these areas is recommended to be limited.

Tehran will also experience increased winds and the possibility of dust storms in the afternoon hours. Temperature fluctuations in the capital will vary between 20 to 28 degrees, and the trend of decreasing temperatures in this area will continue until the end of the week. Thus, residents of Tehran and other affected areas should be aware of weather changes and take necessary measures to reduce potential risks.
