In this meeting, Wang Yi referred to the US war against Iran, stating that the ongoing conflict between Washington and Tehran is not beneficial for either side. He urged both countries to reconstruct the negotiation framework based on the existing agreement in the memorandum of understanding. This stance reflects China's efforts to mediate and reduce tensions in the region.

Wang Yi expressed Beijing's "deep concern" regarding the escalation of tensions in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region, calling for the immediate implementation of the memorandum signed between Iran and the United States. This request indicates that China, as a key player in the region, wishes to play an active role in reducing tensions and seeks stability in the Middle East.
The Chinese Foreign Minister also stressed that the priority should be resolving disputes through dialogue and negotiation. As Iran's comprehensive strategic partner, he firmly supported Iran's sovereignty, security, and national dignity, promising that China would continue to act within the framework of a four-point plan to maintain and enhance peace and stability in the Middle East.
Wang Yi also referred to improving relations among neighboring countries and advancing collective security among Gulf states, stating that China, as a key player, seeks to create a conducive environment for the resumption of dialogues as soon as possible.
