Purpose of the Meeting and Iran's Security Model
Bagheri emphasized that the main goal of this visit and joint meeting is to draw on Iran's successful experience in the imposed war and to create a model for endogenous security in the region. He stated that this model is based on the internal capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran and can serve as a successful model for other countries in the region.
The Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council also referred to the strategic policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding security and said, "Regional security must be ensured and guaranteed by the countries of the region." He pointed to the disruptive role of foreigners, especially the U.S. regime and the Zionist regime, in regional instability and called for avoiding any foreign interference.
Hope for Stability in West Asia
Bagheri expressed hope that the meeting of the four countries in Tehran could be an effective step in shaping regional endogenous security. He considered this idea a result of the success of the Iranian nation and armed forces in the imposed war and emphasized the importance of cooperation among regional countries to achieve stability and peace in West Asia.
In this context, Bagheri also referred to General Asim Munir's visit to Tehran last week, stating that this commander of the Pakistan Army had informed Major General Mohsen Rezai about the decision of senior officials from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan to travel to Tehran and hold a joint meeting.
