The CEO of the Engineering and Urban Development Organization of Tehran Municipality also referred to the completion of the Dougaz Highway's executive actions and said: "The first and second phases of this project will be operational in the near future. Additionally, the west to north route of Imam Khomeini (RA) Highway will also be inaugurated within a month." These projects are considered part of Tehran Municipality's comprehensive plans to improve urban transportation infrastructure.
Progress on Shahid Shoushtari Freeway
Sedaghaty also reported on the progress of the second phase of the Shahid Shoushtari Freeway and expressed hope that by the end of the year, part of this freeway will be paved and ready for utilization. This freeway, regarded as one of the important projects for the development of transportation infrastructure in Tehran, can facilitate traffic and reduce urban travel times.
He further stated: "15 percent of the claims to contractors are blocked in a deposit account and will be paid at the end of the project to cover contractors' costs." This financial management approach can lead to increased transparency and greater trust between contractors and the municipality.
The CEO of the Engineering and Urban Development Organization of Tehran Municipality also noted that the organization's debts have decreased from 89 billion tomans to 20 billion tomans. This significant reduction in debts reflects ongoing efforts to improve the financial and economic status of the organization.
Sedaghaty also mentioned the follow-up on the sand and gravel mine project and expressed hope that this project will reach a conclusion by the end of the year. This project can help supply construction materials and reduce costs in urban development projects.
The audit report of the Engineering and Urban Development Organization of Tehran Municipality for the fiscal year 1404 was approved with maximum votes in favor. This approval indicates ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of urban services and improve the capital's infrastructure.
