Statement by Dr. Banafsha Izadyar
Dr. Banafsha Izadyar, head of the Family Health and Specialized Medicines Unit, stated at the ceremony: "For the first time in the country, a specialized guideline for prevention, screening, diagnosis, and management of HPV-related cancers has been developed in collaboration with Dr. Abidi's Pharmacy and the Women's Oncology Association. Until today, such a cohesive and specialized document has not existed in this field in the country, and it is important for us to be alongside the medical community in its development."
She also added: "This event, on the 80th anniversary of Dr. Abidi's Pharmacy, is an example of our perspective on women's health and community health, and it shows that this path continues alongside the development of products."
Importance of Prevention and Timely Diagnosis
Cervical cancer is one of the most important diseases related to HPV, and confronting it is not limited to the treatment phase. Prevention and timely diagnosis can play a significant role in women's health. Creating access to knowledge and cohesive approaches in this area is a matter that goes beyond a specialized medical discussion and is related to community health.
The unveiling of this guide marks the beginning of broader access for the medical community to a scientific and practical reference and can help shape a more cohesive approach in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of HPV-related diseases. This event is a sign of the ongoing efforts of the medical community and active health institutions to enhance awareness and improve the quality of health services in the country.
