The Donald Trump administration, the former President of the United States, has opposed the plan of Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, to attack Iran ahead of the midterm elections on November 3. Reports indicate that Netanyahu intended to carry out attacks against Iran in early October, but this plan was postponed due to Trump's opposition.

Details of Netanyahu's Plan

According to obtained information, the Israeli army was prepared for these attacks on October 10, targeting nuclear facilities, government centers, and civilian infrastructure, including energy facilities. News sources have pointed out that the planned attacks were supposed to be more severe than past U.S. and Israeli operations in February.

U.S. Government's Reaction

The Trump administration, considering the potential consequences of these attacks, deemed the resumption of war on the eve of elections an unreasonable action and thus opposed this plan. However, one source close to Israel has stated that the possibility of resuming attacks in the coming weeks still exists, and Israel has prepared a new list of targets, including infrastructure that has not been previously targeted.

This news comes two days after the secret visit of U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to Israel and his meeting with Netanyahu. This meeting was held to discuss existing threats in the region and is likely to lead to increased tensions and security developments in the near future.

It is noteworthy that the Islamic Republic of Iran continues to provide financial and political support to the Houthis in Yemen and, despite this support, has always denied involvement in the group's attacks on Saudi Arabia. Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, has also stated in an interview that Tehran has yet to receive a response from Saudi Arabia and the Houthis to its mediation proposal.

Given the rising tensions in the region and the developments arising from these events, the future of Iran-Israel relations and its impacts on U.S. policies in the region remain shrouded in uncertainty. This situation could have serious consequences for regional and global security.
