Tehran, under the feet of tourists, hosts a variety of programs aimed at introducing and reviving cultural heritage and strengthening urban identity. Amir Ghasemi, the head of the tourism headquarters of Tehran Municipality, announces fundamental changes in this year's programs compared to previous years and emphasizes that these programs will be implemented with a more mature and cohesive approach.
Neighborhood-Centric and Local Programs
This year, the tourism and cultural week programs in Tehran will take shape in neighborhoods and will be executed using local capacities. Ghasemi states: "Our emphasis is on localizing the programs in neighborhoods to achieve positive cultural and social impacts." In this regard, specific neighborhood programs have been designed, and a series of regional programs for all areas of the city have also been planned.

Key Approaches of the Programs
This week's programs include 12 important approaches that help strengthen urban identity and introduce Tehran's cultural heritage. Among these approaches are enhancing the sense of belonging to Tehran, focusing on family and intergenerational connections, as well as utilizing modern technologies and artificial intelligence. Ghasemi also refers to the exhibition "Tehran; City of Culture and Life" and the Dahlia Flower Festival, which are held to strengthen Tehran's cultural identity.
Other neighborhood programs include tourism festivals "Tehran Street by Street," student tours "Tehran Classmates," and interactive programs involving children and the elderly. These programs aim to encourage active citizen participation and strengthen social connections.
Various cultural and tourism organizations will also hold their programs during this time. Among the programs is the Milad Tower's tourism festival and an exhibition titled "Tehran Through Images." Additionally, the National Museum of the Islamic Revolution and Sacred Defense will hold a mobile photography competition and introduce the memorials of unknown martyrs as narrated by Tehran during the revolution.
Overall, these events not only provide an opportunity for tourists and citizens to become more acquainted with Tehran but will also contribute to strengthening the cultural and social identity of this city and intergenerational connections.
