New accesses and final stages
On Saturday, November 6, the east to north right turn at the intersection of Shahid Boroujerdi Highway and Bahar Boulevard was opened to citizens. This passage is 127 meters long and 6.6 meters wide, providing one traffic lane. Additionally, the existing south to east access at this intersection will soon be closed and will be put into operation as soon as geometric corrections and approved design changes are applied. This new access is 273 meters long and 8.5 meters wide, covering two traffic lanes.
The CEO of the Engineering and Construction Organization also referred to the remaining sections of the project and said: "These sections include the express lane from Bahar Boulevard towards the west of Shahid Boroujerdi Highway and vice versa, the remaining southern slow lane, geometric corrections for the south to east route, and the U-turns from west to west and east to east at this intersection."
The progress of the construction of the second section of Shahid Boroujerdi Highway has been reported at 94%, and Mehdi Sadaqati mentioned this autumn as the time for the full operation of this project. It seems that with the completion of this project, the quality of life and urban traffic in District 18 will significantly improve, allowing citizens to use this route with greater peace of mind.
