The prices of Saipa and Iran Khodro cars significantly increased on Wednesday, October 22, 1405. Although the rates of currency and gold in the market have decreased, this reduction has not affected the upward trend of prices in the car market. Experts believe that these price increases are an attempt to compensate for the gap between prices and currency rates.
Market Fluctuations and Production Challenges
Currency fluctuations, production and import costs, supply, and consumer purchasing power all influence price trends. According to the provided statistics, in the first half of 1405, the country's automakers produced less than 300,000 cars, while the annual demand in the car market reaches at least one million units. This statistic clearly indicates the supply limitations against market demand.

The decrease in production in the passenger car sector has led to a 35% drop in total output compared to the same period last year, and the production of automatic and dual-fuel cars has also sharply declined. The continuation of this situation in the second half of 1405 could bring the production of domestic and assembled automakers to less than 600,000 units, a level that does not align with the actual market needs.
Price Increases in the Car Market
Statistics show that in recent days, car prices in the market continue to rise. In the Iran Khodro product market, the price of the Sorena Plus dual-fuel with a large cylinder increased by 10 million tomans, reaching 2 billion and 755 million tomans. Additionally, the price of the Peugeot 207 automatic rose by 110 million tomans, reaching 3 billion and 780 million tomans.
In the Saipa product market, the Atlas automatic car increased by 470 million tomans to reach 2 billion and 500 million tomans, and the price of the Quik S zero also rose by 5 million tomans to reach 1 billion and 630 million tomans. Furthermore, the price of the Haimai S7 Pro increased by 160 million tomans compared to the previous day, reaching 6 billion and 590 million tomans.
Other cars have also been affected by the price increases. The price of the Tiggo 8 Pro Max has risen by 20 million tomans, now reaching 10 billion and 20 million tomans, and the price of the JAC J4 zero has also increased by 20 million tomans to reach 3 billion and 250 million tomans.
Considering the current conditions and the continued upward trend of prices, it seems that this situation will persist in the coming days, and we may witness further price increases in the car market. These price increases not only affect consumers but could also exacerbate product shortages at dealerships and lead to increases in factory and free market prices.
