The number of American military casualties in the war with Iran has reached 21. According to data from the Pentagon's "Military Casualty Analysis System," this figure was recorded as of Friday and includes the death of 46-year-old Major "Serafli Davios" from the National Guard, who was killed in Kuwait on March 6. Additionally, the death of an unnamed Navy member who took his own life in September has been added to this figure.

Injury and Indirect Death Statistics

Recent updates indicate that 865 American military personnel have been injured during this war. The U.S. Army has also confirmed the death of another soldier in a training accident. This soldier, 26-year-old Sergeant "Dwayne A. Seibel," was killed in May in Iraq. The U.S. Army claims that his death is not related to tensions and conflicts with Iran and was recorded under "Operation Resolute Resolve," which is dedicated to combating the terrorist group ISIS.

Criticism of Pentagon's Official Statistics

Adam Smith, a representative from Washington and the senior Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee, along with Chrissy Houlahan, a Pennsylvania representative and another Democrat on the committee, issued a joint statement saying that there is no justification for an error of this magnitude. These representatives also described the need for congressional intervention to correct the statistics as a shame for the U.S. Army.

Other reports also indicate that the number of American military personnel killed since the onset of the ongoing war against Iran in the Middle East is higher than the figures publicly announced by the Pentagon. More than 820 American military personnel have also been injured in military operations since the beginning of this war. Many of these individuals have suffered traumatic brain injuries due to explosions from Iranian counterattacks on U.S. bases across the Middle East.

Consequences of the War for Economy and Security

This war has not only affected the lives of soldiers but has also put pressure on the U.S. Army's precision weapon reserves and damaged its bases throughout the Gulf. Additionally, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Tehran has disrupted global energy markets. According to a document reviewed by various sources, U.S. Central Command has estimated that the cost of the war against Iran has reached approximately $43.6 billion by early September. This figure includes $28 billion in munitions used but does not account for the damage to U.S. bases.

Recent polls also show that only 28% of Americans support Trump's approach to Iran, while 62% oppose it. These statistics reflect public dissatisfaction with the current U.S. policies in the Middle East.
