Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, spoke again in a harsh and critical tone about Iran at a Republican campaign rally in Syracuse, New York. He described this country as "crazy" and "very evil" and emphasized that alongside the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, the issue of Iran is also one of the important cases he intends to address.

Iran's Nuclear Threats and Concerns

At this rally, held to support Bruce Blakeman, the Republican candidate for governor of New York, Trump referred to Iran's nuclear program. He said that the U.S. has had to "change its course to take nuclear capability away from a crazy country" and added: "They are a crazy country. They know it themselves. I always tell them; I say you are really crazy."

The former President of the United States also referred to Iran as the "number one country of terrorism" and emphasized that this country should not be given nuclear weapons, because, according to him, they would undoubtedly use them. While Iran has always claimed that it has rejected efforts to build nuclear weapons and that its nuclear program has peaceful goals, Trump pointed to previous statements by Iranian officials who, according to him, spoke in a threatening tone about "killing everyone."

Upcoming Developments and Electoral Impacts

Donald Trump continued his remarks by saying that Iran might take "a few additional actions" before the U.S. midterm elections, as it believes such actions would harm the Republicans. He strongly emphasized that the issues related to Iran could soon be resolved and stated twice that Iranian officials do not know how much he has "tolerated" them.

Trump also clarified in other remarks that the issue of Iran will be resolved "very quickly" and that if Tehran does not give "everything" to the U.S., it "will no longer exist." He also referred to the idea of renaming the Strait of Hormuz to "Trump Strait," an idea he had previously mentioned in his statements about Iran and this strategic waterway.

These remarks come as Trump has recently stated that talks between Washington and Tehran have been "constructive" and that the United States will not launch a new attack on Iran before the November 3 midterm elections. This contradiction in his statements reflects the complex challenges that U.S. foreign policies regarding Iran are facing.
