The inflation rate of food items reached 2.2 percent in September 1405, the lowest inflation rate among the 10 main groups surveyed by the Statistical Center of Iran. This report indicates that the trend of decreasing inflation in this group is a hopeful path for the country's economy.

Overall inflation trend in September

According to the report from the Statistical Center of Iran, the overall inflation index for this month was 4.2 percent, which can significantly impact the daily lives of people. Among different groups, "communications" had the highest inflation rate at 14.7 percent. Following that, the groups of "recreation and culture" at 9.6 percent, "transportation" at 7.9 percent, "clothing and footwear" at 6.3 percent, and "education" at 6.3 percent ranked next.

Decrease in food inflation

The inflation rate in the "household appliances" group was reported at 6 percent, "hotels and restaurants" at 5.6 percent, "health and medical" at 5.2 percent, and "housing" at 3.3 percent. Among these, the food group recorded the lowest inflation rate of 2.2 percent in September. This downward trend in food inflation began in Bahman 1404 and gradually reached 2.2 percent in September.

Reviewing the food inflation rates in recent months, it can be observed that this rate decreased from 15.5 percent in Bahman 1404 to 8.6 percent in Esfand, 5.5 percent in Farvardin 1405, 7.8 percent in Ordibehesht, and 6.8 percent in Khordad. This trend indicates the efforts made to control prices and improve economic conditions.

In Tir, the food inflation rate decreased to 2.5 percent and reached 3.6 percent in Mordad. However, in September, with another decrease to 2.2 percent, this group became one of the least inflationary sectors. These results are promising for the government's and relevant institutions' efforts to control prices and improve people's living conditions.

Overall, the decrease in food inflation can lead to an improvement in people's purchasing power and a reduction in economic pressures. These changes can help increase public confidence and improve the overall economic situation of the country.
