Majid Amani, the CEO of the Tehran Municipality Engineering and Construction Organization, during his recent field visit to the Niayesh underground multi-story parking project, reviewed the latest execution details and the timeline for the operation of the first phase of this project. This project, recognized as a major construction project in Tehran, is currently nearing completion with a physical progress of 70%.

A Vital Project for Tehran

Amani stated during this visit the importance of this project, saying: “The first phase of the Niayesh multi-story parking is designed with four floors, and the structural execution operations have been completed. Currently, the finishing work and the installation of electrical and mechanical facilities are underway.” He also emphasized that this project will have positive effects on reducing the parking space shortage problem in the heavily trafficked area of District 3 in Tehran.

Solving Traffic and Parking Issues

With the operation of this project, the problems around Mellat Park, Mellat Cinema Complex, Shahid Rajaei Heart Hospital, and the commercial and administrative centers on Vali Asr Street will be significantly reduced. Amani continued: “This parking was one of the unfinished projects that, after overcoming obstacles, was put back on the agenda from late 2023, and currently, the completion and preparation for operation in the first phase are underway.”

The Niayesh underground multi-story parking is designed using the Top-Down construction method on a land area of 5,600 square meters and has a built area of 52,000 square meters. This parking consists of a total of 9 underground floors with a final capacity of 1,278 vehicles, of which 4 floors will be operational in the first phase.

This project not only helps reduce traffic congestion in the city but also serves as a model for other similar projects in Tehran. Amani concluded by saying: “With this project, we are not only responding to the daily needs of citizens but also taking steps towards sustainable development and improving the quality of life in the capital.”
