The unveiling of the bust of Martyr Brigadier General Mohammad Saeed Izadi, known as Hajj Ramadan, will take place in Palestine Square, Tehran. This ceremony will be held with the presence of the Mayor of Tehran, senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, and other military and governmental officials on Wednesday, October 7, at 7 PM.

Preserving the Historical Memory of the People

Seyyed Morteza Rouhani, the Mayor of District 6, emphasized the importance of preserving the historical memory of the people during a meeting of the management council, stating: "The city must preserve the historical memory of the people, and the narrative of the men who stood for the cause of Palestine for years should not be forgotten in the noise of time." He referred to the planning for the unveiling of the bust of Martyr Hajj Ramadan and said: "Some names do not belong to a specific historical period; they are part of the memory of a nation and a cause."

The Role of Hajj Ramadan in the History of Resistance

Rouhani continued: "Hajj Ramadan was from a generation of resistance commanders who dedicated a significant part of their lives to supporting the people of Palestine and strengthening the resistance front. He may be less known to many people, but his role in years of supporting the resistance is part of the contemporary history of the region."

The Mayor of District 6 noted the impact of Hajj Ramadan's bust in Palestine Square, stating: "When the face of a martyr is recorded in one of the most important squares related to Palestine in Tehran, it is not just a bust being unveiled; rather, a narrative is added to the city. The current and future generations, passing through this square, will encounter the name and face of a man who spent part of his life for a cause beyond the geographical borders of Iran."

The presence of Hajj Ramadan's bust in Palestine Square can make the connection between the history of resistance and the public space of the city more enduring and help remind people of his efforts towards the liberation of the Palestinian nation.
