The Zero Inflation Plan of Tehran Municipality has been initiated to stabilize the prices of some essential goods in household shopping baskets. This plan is designed to assist citizens in purchasing necessary items and to alleviate economic pressure on families in the current situation.

Details of the Plan and Included Goods

In the first phase of this plan, 12 items including rice, frozen meat, oil, soy, dates, sugar, pasta, and legumes have been selected. These items will be available through fruit and vegetable markets and Shahrvand stores. Additionally, citizens can make non-contact purchases through the Shahrzad system, with delivery to their homes.

Expansion of the Goods Basket

It seems that starting from November, chicken, cheese, and tomato paste will also be added to this basket. This action aims to increase the variety and improve the quality of food available to citizens. Considering the recent price fluctuations, this plan can be seen as a supportive measure to control inflation and stabilize prices.

Tehran Municipality officials hope that with the implementation of this plan, citizens will be able to purchase their necessary goods at more reasonable prices. This plan also aims to create transparency and trust in the market, so that people can easily benefit from the provided services.

Reactions and Evaluations

This plan has faced various reactions. Some economic experts believe that this action can significantly help reduce pressure on vulnerable segments of society, while others argue that more attention should be paid to the various aspects of this plan and its consequences. Meanwhile, citizens have expressed hope regarding this plan and expect that effective implementation will alleviate economic problems.

Considering that less than 10 days have passed since the unveiling of this plan, 108 fruit and vegetable markets and 18 Shahrvand stores have been prepared to sell the items included in the zero inflation plan. It seems that Tehran Municipality is striving to effectively and efficiently implement this plan by creating the necessary infrastructure.
