Challenges and operational issues
During the inspection, the compliance of discounts listed on the shelves with the final price calculated at the checkout, adherence to approved prices and those listed on the goods, and preventing the tampering of price tags were also taken into consideration. Additionally, the examination of price transparency and the supply of goods, the likelihood of shortages or unusual price increases, and the resilience of the store in maintaining inventory and continuing to serve the public were on the agenda.
Based on the conducted evaluations, no violations were observed in the assessed cases. However, another part of this visit was dedicated to examining the operational issues and problems of chain stores. Challenges such as delays in settling the stores' claims from the implementation of the coupon plan, liquidity problems, fuel supply, and the impact of these factors on the process of supply, storage, and distribution of goods were addressed.
The performance of chain stores, especially the Shahrvand collection, under conditions of imposed war and the role of this network in the continuity of supplying necessary goods to the public were also examined. Maintaining the sustainability of the supply chain, strengthening the readiness of stores to face critical conditions, and continuing to provide services to consumers were among the emphasized topics during this visit.
This visit was conducted within the framework of the supervisory programs of the Organization for the Protection of Consumers and Producers, aiming to enhance transparency in the market and examine the obstacles facing the distribution network. The organization considers the continuation of supervision over pricing and the manner of offering goods, the correct implementation of discounts, and appropriate access for the public to essential items as its priorities.
