Rain and snow have started in most regions of the country, and according to Kobra Rafiei, an expert at the National Meteorological Organization, these precipitation events are especially predicted in the western Caspian Sea coasts, western, northwestern, and southwestern regions. Rainfall is also expected in the provinces of Bushehr, Fars, Sistan and Baluchestan, and Hormozgan.

Forecast of Continuous Rain and Temperature Drop

Rafiei further stated that the rain system will also be active on Saturday along the Caspian Sea coasts and in the western half of the country. These rains will continue on Sunday in most areas of the country, except for the southeast, and a temperature drop of 5 degrees is expected, especially in Tehran. During this period, rain will be accompanied by strong winds and occasional dust storms, and snowfall may occur in the highlands.

Meteorological Warnings and Existing Hazards

The National Meteorological Organization has issued an orange alert for the provinces of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Khuzestan, Ilam, eastern Lorestan, Kermanshah, and Gilan. This warning includes disruptions in transportation, flooding, waterlogging of streets, strong winds, and the potential for damage to temporary structures and agricultural products. In cold regions, there is also a risk of water pipe freezing and facility damage.

In Tehran, morning haze, rain showers, thunderstorms, and mild winds are predicted. The temperature fluctuations in Tehran will be between 12 and 20 degrees, and according to Rafiei, the minimum temperature in Tehran on Sunday will reach 7 degrees. Meanwhile, the average temperature in the country has increased by 1.4 degrees Celsius compared to the long-term average over the past week.

Conditions of the Caspian Sea and Persian Gulf

The Caspian Sea, Persian Gulf, and Strait of Hormuz are facing maritime warnings. Strong winds and wave heights in coastal areas will lead to dangers such as drowning swimmers, damage to small boats, and navigation hazards for vessels. It is essential to prevent swimming and restrict boat traffic under these conditions.

Finally, considering the predicted rainfall and temperature drop, farmers and residents of various regions should make necessary preparations and be aware of the potential hazards arising from these weather changes.
