Showers and thunderstorms continue in the north of the country, and with the arrival of a precipitation system in various regions, autumn rains are also forecasted in the capital. Amin Hossein Naqshineh, an expert at the National Meteorological Organization, announced that today, the activity of the precipitation system is expected in the provinces of Gilan, Mazandaran, Golestan, the central Alborz heights, and North Khorasan.
Scattered showers and weather warnings
Naqshineh added: "In the coming days, rain is predicted in parts of West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, and Ardabil, and on Tuesday, scattered showers will continue in eastern Mazandaran, Golestan, and North Khorasan. On Wednesday, showers will also be observed at certain times along the Caspian Sea coast and in northern West Azerbaijan and East Azerbaijan."

These rains will be accompanied by the possibility of thunderstorms and temporary strong winds in these areas. Additionally, in northern Semnan and the heights of Mazandaran and Golestan provinces, rain showers and thunderstorms are accompanied by a yellow weather warning. The hazards of this situation include the possibility of river flooding, street flooding, runoff, lightning, and damage to agricultural products.
Weather conditions in the eastern strip and Tehran
In the eastern strip of the country, temporary strong winds and dust storms are predicted in susceptible areas. Especially in eastern South Khorasan and Sistan and Baluchestan, relatively strong to severe winds will accompany reduced horizontal visibility and decreased air quality. Naqshineh advised that in these conditions, caution is necessary when passing through mountainous areas and avoiding parking vehicles next to old trees and unfinished buildings.
The sky in Tehran is generally expected to be clear to partly cloudy. In the afternoon and evening hours, strong winds may occur in the central and southern and western regions of Tehran, and there is a possibility of dust in the southern areas. Additionally, there is a chance of scattered showers in the eastern heights of Tehran. The temperature in the capital is also decreasing, with temperature fluctuations today in Tehran expected to be between 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.
Reports indicate that the average temperature in the country over the past week has increased by three degrees Celsius compared to the long-term period, with the provinces of Alborz and Tehran facing a significant rise.
