Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the political deputy of Iran's Foreign Minister, strongly criticized the double standards of European countries in a recent speech regarding regional developments. He pointed out that while these countries claim to support the rule of law and human rights, these claims are clearly violated in the face of military aggressions by the United States and Israel against Iran.

Contradiction in the Positions of European Countries

Araghchi noted that European countries cannot simultaneously support human rights and the rule of law while remaining silent against military aggressions by the United States and Israel, stating: "This duality in the behavior of European countries not only undermines their legitimacy in the international arena but also leads to the despair of oppressed nations."

He added: "We are witnessing that while the emphasis on human rights and the rule of law are presented as central issues in international diplomacy, some European politicians remain silent in the face of military aggressions and blatant human rights violations."

Consequences of Silence Against Aggressions

Araghchi reminded that this silence is not beneficial for any country and could lead to the escalation of crises and insecurities in the region. He pointed out that European countries must adopt firmer positions against aggressive behaviors to maintain their credibility and legitimacy.

The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister also referred to the human rights situation in the Middle East, stating: "While European countries claim to support human rights, they must consider how they can remain silent in the face of blatant human rights violations by their allied regimes."

In light of these issues, Araghchi called for a new and realistic approach to Middle Eastern issues and respect for the rights of nations. He emphasized that European countries should help resolve these problems instead of ignoring them.

In conclusion, Seyed Abbas Araghchi expressed hope that European countries would adopt a more realistic perspective on regional developments and instead of supporting aggressions, genuinely support human rights and the sovereignty of nations.
