Samad Haj Ghabari, the Director General of International Students and Head of Domestic Students, announced the acceptance of 1500 international students in the country's universities this year. This number is similar to last year and indicates the continued efforts to attract international students to Iran.
Trends in the Entry of International Students
Haj Ghabari further stated: "Students who are accepted have one year to enter the country. Of the number of students accepted last year, 1000 have entered the country so far, which shows a significant increase compared to last year. More than two-thirds of these students have come to the country, indicating positive competition with neighboring countries in attracting international students."
