On Saturday, October 25, 2025, Saipa and Iran Khodro cars witnessed a significant price increase. This is while the car market continues to face a trading recession, and the rise in prices does not indicate an increase in consumer demand. In fact, these price increases are influenced by various economic and social factors.
Factors Influencing Car Price Increases
An examination of the market situation shows that inflation expectations, concerns about future production, changes in factory pricing formulas, supply constraints, and new sanctions on automakers are among the factors shaping the upward price trend in cars. Currently, a car is not only a consumer good but is also considered an asset for some households. This causes sellers to set their asking prices based on the potential replacement cost of the car in the future, rather than solely on daily demand.

Car Price Outlook and Influencing Factors
The outlook for car prices in the coming days depends on three main variables: production costs, supply levels, and the expectations of buyers and sellers. An increase in the cost of sourcing parts alongside supply constraints can maintain upward pressure on prices. Conversely, increased production and delivery of cars, stability in sourcing costs, and a reduction in economic uncertainties may slow the pace of price increases. Especially if demand weakness persists, it may create conditions for price adjustments on some models.
For example, in the Iran Khodro product market, the price of the dual-fuel Sorena Plus has increased by 391 million tomans since the beginning of October and now stands at 2 billion and 765 million tomans. Additionally, the price of the Dena Plus with 6 gears has risen by 178 million tomans in the past week, reaching 2 billion and 863 million tomans.
Among Saipa products, the price of the zero-kilometer Quick S has increased by 220 million tomans since the beginning of October, reaching 1 billion and 628 million tomans. The zero-kilometer Saina S has also become 18 million tomans more expensive in the past seven days, now priced at 1 billion and 693 million tomans.
Meanwhile, the price of the seven-seater Fidyliity Elite has increased by 1 billion and 550 million tomans since the beginning of October, now reaching 7 billion and 550 million tomans. The price of the zero-kilometer Jack J4 has also risen by 120 million tomans in the past week and is currently trading at 3 billion and 220 million tomans.
The trend of price increases in the car market continues, with the price of the Tiggo 8 Pro Max increasing by 150 million tomans in the past four days, now standing at 10 billion and 150 million tomans. This situation reflects the existing challenges in the car market and its impacts on household lives.
