Sabah Zanganeh, former representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, analyzed the current situation in Lebanon and Syria in an interview with a reputable media outlet, emphasizing that these events are directly linked to the October 7 incidents.

Consequences of War and Political Complexities

Zanganeh stated: "The actions taken against Iraq and their analogy for Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, and other regions complicate the issues. In this context, some are trying to merge ideological issues with the geopolitical goals of the U.S. and Israel." He added that these events have impacted not only political security but also the geopolitical calculations of the entire region.

This former representative emphasized that the effects of these events are not limited to the present and will continue to have repercussions in the future. He said: "We have witnessed subsequent waves of these consequences and will continue to do so." Zanganeh also referred to the widespread reactions of the Zionist regime and its supporters regarding these events, stressing that these reactions have particularly affected the occupied territories of Palestine and Gaza.

Widespread Impacts on the Region and the World

Zanganeh continued: "Gaza has been almost leveled, except for a few areas, and the pressure to evacuate the regions from their inhabitants has been pursued more vigorously." He also pointed out the identification of security gaps by Palestinians and the Israeli regime, stating that these gaps now need to be addressed.

Globally, Zanganeh emphasized the necessity of examining the justifications for the violent operations of the Israeli regime, adding: "The depth of the issues, the manner of conducting those operations, their consequences, and the reactions that followed all need to be re-evaluated." He believes that the current confrontations have deeper roots and cannot be attributed solely to a specific incident.

According to Zanganeh, "The history of inhumane actions by the U.S. towards Iran and events such as the nationalization of the oil industry and the Islamic Revolution must all be considered in current analyses." He emphasized that an incident may be used as a pretext, but the depth of the currents cannot be assessed by a single incident alone.

Finally, Zanganeh referred to similar actions taken against Iraq, Afghanistan, and other countries, stating: "These issues have their own specific complexities and need to be addressed with greater care." He noted the efforts of various groups to dominate the region and the world, stating that these efforts have existed since ancient times and continue to this day.
