The flights of Iraqi Airways have returned to Imam Khomeini International Airport after an eight-month suspension. The first flight of this airline arrived in Tehran from Najaf at 7:30 AM today and departed back to Najaf at 8:30 AM. This news heralds the beginning of a new era of air connections in the region.

New Steps in Developing International Flights

Javad Salehi Artimani, the Deputy for Operations at Imam Khomeini International Airport, stated: "According to the planned arrangements, Iraqi Airways will have one flight daily at this airport. The reception and dispatch of passengers on the Tehran-Najaf route and vice versa will be conducted." This action signifies a return to normal conditions and the expansion of international activities.

The Bright Future of International Flights

Salehi Artimani emphasized: "The resumption of Iraqi Airways flights is a step towards the return and gradual development of international flights at Imam Khomeini International Airport. We hope that with the right conditions, we will witness an increase in the number of flights and the activation of more international routes." These statements reflect confidence and optimism for the growth and prosperity of the aviation industry in the country.

This news also allows travelers to easily travel to Najaf and other foreign destinations. Given that international travel has been affected by various factors in recent years, the resumption of these flights, especially during religious and pilgrimage periods, holds special significance.

In this regard, Imam Khomeini International Airport welcomes the presence of airlines and the development of flight routes. Increasing international flights and diversifying the flight network are key areas of focus for the operation of this airport.

It seems that the return of Iraqi Airways is just the beginning of a new chapter in Iran's aviation industry. Given recent developments and changes in aviation policies, it can be expected that other foreign airlines will soon return to this airport, providing new opportunities for travelers.
