Qasem Fadavi, the director general of standards for Tehran province, warned against the buying and selling of gold products without an identification code following the implementation of new inspection patrols. He pointed out the existing laws in this regard and stressed that buying and selling gold products without an identification code or with a revoked identification code is absolutely not permitted, and this issue has been repeatedly communicated to buyers, manufacturers, and suppliers of gold products in the province.
Continuous Supervision of Gold Production Units
Fadavi added: Standard inspectors continuously visit production and supply units of gold products to ensure that all products have valid identification codes. He said: "The primary responsibility for verifying validity lies with the buyers, and they must check the validity of the identification code through the SMS system 10001517 when making a purchase."

The Importance of Identification Code in Buying Gold
The director general of standards for Tehran province further stated: Since the beginning of this year, identification codes have been issued or renewed for 90 gold product manufacturing units, and currently, the total number of units with valid codes in Tehran province has exceeded 1300. This action is taken to protect the rights of buyers and prevent fraud in the gold market.
Fadavi emphasized the necessity of buyer awareness regarding the consequences of purchasing gold products without an identification code and said: "Buyers should pay more attention to their purchases and buy gold from reputable sources." These actions are aimed at preserving people's investments and enhancing the quality and credibility of gold products in the Iranian market.
