The pre-sale of passenger train tickets for November will begin soon. As the end of Mehr approaches, it is unclear exactly when this pre-sale will start. Based on previous practices, the pre-sale of train tickets for the period from the 1st to the 30th of Azar, including round-trip routes until the 1st of Dey, is usually conducted in the last days of Mehr.
Stages of the ticket pre-sale process
In previous pre-sales, tickets have been offered in several stages. Typically, the first stage of online sales starts at 8:30 AM and continues until 11:00 AM. After that, in-person sales through authorized centers and agencies take place from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. After the initial stages and system coordination are completed, ticket sales will continue simultaneously through online platforms and authorized centers.
Challenges of train ticket pre-sales
In some previous pre-sales, technical disruptions and infrastructure issues caused delays in the start of ticket sales. For example, the pre-sale of passenger train tickets for the period from the 1st to the 16th of Mordad was delayed due to a fiber optic cut during construction operations by one of the municipality's contractors and disruptions in the communication network of the integrated sales system of Raja. This issue was quickly resolved after being fixed, and ticket sales resumed.
The pre-sale of passenger train tickets for this year's Mehr was conducted on the 28th of Shahrivar, according to the announcement from the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways. Therefore, it is expected that the pre-sale of November tickets will also begin quickly in the last days of Mehr, adhering to health protocols and facilitating access.
Given the increasing demand for rail travel at various times of the year, timely pre-sale of tickets can play an important role in managing trips. Therefore, passengers should keep in mind to act in a timely manner for purchasing tickets and ensure their travel plans.
