Masoud Pejmanian on Tuesday (November 1, 2026) in a meeting with governors and mayors of metropolitan cities and provincial centers of the country, which was held on the topic of strengthening people's livelihoods, emphasized that we should not accept that some people are unable to meet their basic and essential needs, stating: "We must prioritize helping those who are facing difficulties in their lives through proper management and be able to provide at least a basic livelihood for them."

Necessity of Identifying the Needy

The President also pointed out the importance of accurately identifying the needy and deprived members of society, saying: "In this path, all managers of the country, Friday prayer leaders, philanthropists, Basij, and various sectors must correctly see and identify the needy in the province, county, city, and neighborhood."

Pejmanian emphasized that we must provide more assistance and care to those who are in greater need. The deprived and residents of border provinces should not face difficulties in their livelihoods. He also referred to the necessity of providing goods at lower prices in border provinces compared to Tehran and central provinces, adding: "If necessary, we will also provide subsidies to achieve this goal."

Management of Consumption and People's Resilience

Pejmanian continued by emphasizing that we must overcome the challenges and crises that enemies have created for our country today, stating: "We strive to solve the problem through dialogue." He also pointed out regarding the war, stating: "Enemies cannot force Iran to surrender through war, and we stand firmly against their lies and greed."

The President also highlighted the necessity of managing energy consumption and production, adding: "If we want to increase people's resilience and pass through conditions with the least tension, we must pay attention to energy conservation and consumption management."

Pejmanian concluded by emphasizing the participation of everyone in solving problems, stating: "We must come to believe that we have the ability to succeed and reach the peaks of progress and development." He also stressed the importance of supporting the needy and the fair distribution of subsidies, noting that "resources resulting from the increase in fuel and energy prices will be allocated to the people and the needy."
