Mehdi Pashazadeh, former captain of Esteghlal, emphasized the importance of maintaining good results in his analysis of the team's performance in the new season of the Asian Elite League. Pashazadeh stated in an interview with reporters: "An amazing result occurred on Tuesday night, and in my opinion, there was thought behind this result and this victory. The players of Esteghlal fought with all their heart on the field and executed tactical points well." He also referred to the progress of Esteghlal's youth, adding: "Until recently, many did not believe in Esteghlal's youth, but they have proven that they can achieve great things."

Pashazadeh continued: "When a team wins, it is better to talk about the positive points. He also referred to the conditions of the Premier League, saying: "Esteghlal undoubtedly has a chance to win the Premier League if there is calm within the team and we do not witness tension and controversy; it can become the champion in the Premier League."
This former captain of Esteghlal also addressed the challenges the team faces at the Asian level, stating: "In Asia, we should not raise expectations too high because our football faces many structural and facility-related problems. However, if Esteghlal wants to have big goals in Asia as well, there is no problem. The important thing is that the players fight and can reach the highest possible position in the Elite League."

Pashazadeh commented on the forgiveness of Saleh Hardani by Sohrab Bakhtiari Zadeh, saying: "In every family, disagreements arise, but what matters is that the best decision is made. Thank God this problem was resolved, and Saleh also had one of his best games against Al-Sadd." He emphasized the importance of supporting Sohrab Bakhtiari Zadeh, stating: "Sohrab is an asset to Esteghlal, and we must support him so that he can achieve good results."
Pashazadeh further added: "I believe that if Esteghlal's window had been open, Sohrab would not be the coach of Esteghlal now, and the gentlemen would have gone looking for foreign coaches, and the crises of last year would have re-emerged." He pointed to the dissatisfaction of some individuals with Esteghlal's successes, saying: "In my opinion, many are not happy with Esteghlal's results because their access to dollars has been cut off."
