The organization of 1100-liter waste containers on Revolution Street has been put on the agenda to enhance environmental hygiene and improve the urban landscape. This plan specifically addresses reducing visual pollution and preventing waste scattering in public spaces.
Key Objectives of the Organization Plan
Mortaza Moradi, Deputy of Urban Services and Environment of District 12, stated that the main goal of this plan is to organize the current situation of waste containers and improve citizens' mobility. Moradi emphasized that reviewing the status of containers located on designated routes and following up on related executive actions are among the focal points in the implementation process of this plan. This action aims to enhance order and discipline in the establishment and operation of waste containers.
Education and Information for Citizens
Alongside these actions, education and information regarding waste separation at the source are of special importance. Moradi added that promoting a culture of waste reduction and proper separation of dry and wet waste are the main objectives of this education. While providing necessary training to citizens and businesses located on selected routes, the importance of public participation in the proper implementation of waste management programs will be emphasized.
The Deputy Mayor of District 12 continued: "With the aim of developing electronic urban services and facilitating citizens' access to waste management services, the introduction and information about the Shahrzad application and its capabilities in the field of waste-related services are on the agenda. This application helps citizens to register their requests and benefit from the available services."
These actions are continuously pursued to increase citizen participation and facilitate the process of receiving services. Given this plan, it is hoped that in addition to organizing waste, awareness and the correct culture of waste management among citizens will be strengthened.
