The National Weather Organization has issued an orange alert for 16 provinces due to the forecast of heavy rain, thunder, and temporary winds. This weather condition, which poses significant risks, will continue until Tuesday.

Areas Affected by Heavy Rain

Rain and strong winds are expected in the northern provinces of West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Zanjan, Gilan, Mazandaran, the foothills and heights of Golestan, Kurdistan, Lorestan, northern Khuzestan, western Isfahan, northern provinces of Qazvin, Alborz, Tehran, southern and southwestern Kerman, northern Hormozgan, and the heights in southern Sistan and Baluchestan. These rains may lead to flooding, seasonal river overflow, and public road inundation.

Risks and Necessary Measures

Fariba Goudarzi, a meteorologist at the National Weather Organization, stated: "The risks of this phenomenon include the possibility of flooding, seasonal river overflow, road inundation, disruption in transportation, slippery roads, reduced visibility, lightning, falling of old trees, and damage to agricultural products." Additionally, there is a possibility of dust storms in some areas.

In the coming days, rain showers are expected in northern West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, and Ardabil, the Caspian Sea coasts, and the heights of Alborz. Also, on Tuesday, light and scattered rainfall is anticipated along the Caspian Sea coasts and northern Razavi Khorasan.

Weather Conditions in Tehran

In Tehran, rain showers accompanied by thunder and strong temporary winds are predicted. The average temperature in Tehran will decrease in the coming days, reaching 28 and 27 degrees Celsius. Additionally, relatively strong winds and dust in some areas of Tehran and other provinces have led to the issuance of a yellow weather alert.

Sea Waves and Associated Risks

The Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and the Caspian Sea will be rough and turbulent in the next five days. Increased wind speed and wave height in coastal and offshore areas of Gilan and Mazandaran provinces are accompanied by an orange marine weather alert. This situation may lead to drowning of swimmers and divers, tearing of fishing nets, and damage to fish farming cages.

In these conditions, preventing swimming and restricting the movement of light and recreational boats and fishing activities is essential. It is also recommended that marine operators take necessary precautions to mitigate potential risks in this weather situation.
