Opposition to arrogance in Iran has deep historical and cultural roots that date back to various periods of this land's history. This concept cannot be considered merely a phenomenon that emerged with the Islamic Revolution. Iran's geographical position has led great powers such as the Greeks, Russians, Ottomans, France, England, and the United States to pay special attention to this land and sometimes attempt to dominate it.
History of Confrontation and Identity Reconstruction
Iran has always played an important role in the equations of global and regional powers. Despite numerous attacks and pressures, this land has repeatedly managed to reconstruct itself and become a center of civilization again. Iran's contribution to the formation and expansion of Islamic civilization is also quite significant. The experience of facing foreign powers and the effort to maintain identity and independence has gradually shaped a culture of resistance against domination.

The Islamic Revolution is one of the most important stages in the emergence and strengthening of this historical tendency. The international conditions and the extent of opposition from great powers to the Islamic Revolution distinguish it from many previous experiences. It was not believed that a revolution of such magnitude could withstand political, economic, and military pressures.
Islamic Culture and the Concept of Independence
The Islamic culture of Iranians is also a significant factor in the formation of opposition to arrogance. Islam, as a religion of dignity and independence, provides a clear example of the confrontation of arrogant power with divine will and resistance against oppression through Quranic teachings about Moses and Pharaoh. These teachings, alongside the historical experience of Iranians, have contributed to the formation of a perspective that sees acceptance of domination and dependency as incompatible with national dignity and religious beliefs.
The culture of Ashura and the teachings of the Prophet of Islam and the Imams also hold special importance. In the logic of this culture, the struggle to preserve belief and independence, even in difficult conditions, is valuable. Therefore, opposition to arrogance should be seen as the result of the connection between Iran's historical experience, national culture, and Islamic teachings.
In the current situation, Iran's battle with Zionist and American enemies has both a military and technological aspect as well as a cultural aspect. The reproduction of narratives to legitimize discussions indicates the importance of cultural narrative in this confrontation. Both military-technological superiority and the ability to produce cultural narratives are decisive, but military power alone is not sufficient.
The experience of the revolution and war has shown that faith, social motivation, and national cohesion also play a significant role in the country's resilience. In this regard, cultural narrative and social legitimacy are of fundamental importance. A country must have both the ability to defend its territory and explain to its people the reasons for its resistance to maintain its independence.
