Nilgam has continued to develop its services in the visa sector by adding new destinations to its service portfolio. Russia, India, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, and Thailand are among the routes now available alongside Nilgam's previous services for applicants.

Changing Travel Patterns of Iranians

Throughout its years of operation, Nilgam has been primarily recognized for handling specialized cases and difficult visas such as Canada, the UK, Schengen, Australia, and Japan; however, the expansion of this service is not limited to specific destinations. Given the changing travel patterns of Iranians and the increasing demand for popular tourist destinations, Nilgam has decided to broaden its range of services to more countries.

In recent years, the travel patterns of Iranians have changed, and the choice of destinations has become more diverse. Alongside popular destinations, Asian and closer countries have also gained a larger share in travelers' itineraries.

Growth of Iranian Travel to New Destinations

Official tourism data from destination countries also confirms this change in behavior. For example, according to a report by the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan, last year it hosted over 2.6 million foreign tourists, about 8 percent of whom were Iranian citizens; this means that over 200,000 entries from Iran to this country were recorded. Additionally, compared to 2023, the number of Iranian entries to Azerbaijan has grown by 27.2%.

Russia has also become one of the favored destinations for Iranians in recent years. According to data published by the Border Service of Russia, in 2025, 31,810 Iranian tourist trips to Russia were recorded, placing Iran among the top 10 inbound tourism markets for this country.

Thailand is also one of the popular travel destinations in Southeast Asia. According to statistics published by the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in 2024, about 70,000 Iranian tourists traveled to this country.

By expanding these services, Nilgam aims to maintain its position as a "specialized visa reference"; a reference that provides specialized services not only for difficult routes but also for a broader range of travel choices.

The goal of this expansion is simple: whenever a travel route requires a visa, Nilgam should be one of the main options for receiving guidance and specialized services.
