A new rainfall system will begin its activity in Iran today. This system will initially operate in areas of Ilam, Kermanshah, East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Gilan, Mazandaran, and the heights of Qazvin, Alborz, and Tehran provinces. Additionally, in the center and east of the country, areas of Semnan, Razavi Khorasan, eastern South Khorasan, and northern Sistan and Baluchestan will also be affected by this system.
Weather Forecast and Its Hazards
Kobra Rafiei, an expert from the National Meteorological Organization, announced that a relative temperature drop of 2 to 3 degrees is expected along the Caspian Sea coast. Relatively strong to severe winds in some areas will cause dust storms, reduced visibility, and decreased air quality. This situation has led to the issuance of a yellow weather warning in Gilan, Mazandaran, Golestan, Ardabil, and other mentioned provinces.

The hazards of this warning include the possibility of rising river waters and flooding of streets, runoff, lightning, and temporary strong winds. Especially in the eastern strip of the country, particularly in the Zabol region, strong winds are expected, which may also lead to dust storms in these areas.
Safety Recommendations for Weather Conditions
To maintain health, especially for individuals with respiratory issues, it is recommended to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during dust storms and to wear masks if leaving the house is necessary. The Caspian Sea, Strait of Hormuz, and Persian Gulf are also under a yellow marine warning, predicting increased wind speed and wave height.
Rafiei also mentioned that an increase in wind is expected in Tehran during the evening hours, with the possibility of scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. Temperature fluctuations in Tehran will range between 20 and 29 degrees.
Recent reports indicate that the average temperature in the country has increased by 2.9 degrees Celsius over the past week compared to the long-term average. Ardabil province recorded the highest temperature increase at 6.4 degrees, followed by Alborz at 6.3 degrees compared to the long-term average.
