Sadagh Ziaian, head of the National Weather Forecasting and Disaster Management Center, announced the arrival of a new rain system in the country and predicted that this rain system will continue its activity in 26 provinces of Iran. This system has started its operations today (Sunday, October 26) and will bring rain, showers, and thunderstorms.
Weather Conditions in Various Regions of the Country
According to forecasts, in northern Fars, western Yazd, southern Kerman, eastern Hormozgan, and some areas of Isfahan and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, increased cloudiness, showers, thunderstorms, and strong winds are expected. Additionally, in the Caspian Sea coasts and the central Alborz heights, we will witness increased cloudiness and scattered showers.

On Tuesday (October 27) and Wednesday (October 28), rainfall will continue in the provinces of Isfahan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, western Yazd, northern Fars, southern Kerman, eastern Hormozgan, and southern Sistan and Baluchestan. During these days, scattered rainfall is also predicted in areas of the northwest, southern Alborz slopes, and the western Caspian Sea coasts.
Weather Status in Tehran and Warnings
In Tehran, today’s sky is expected to be partly cloudy to overcast with wind. At certain hours, an increase in wind speed and occasional scattered rainfall will also occur. The temperature in Tehran is predicted to be a minimum of 17 and a maximum of 38 degrees Celsius.
Ziaian also mentioned that over the next five days, Tehran’s sky will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy, with wind and increased cloudiness expected at certain hours. In the heights of the province, especially the eastern heights, there is a possibility of scattered showers.
He pointed out the relative decrease in air quality in heavily trafficked urban areas, particularly in central and southern Tehran, in the coming days, stating: Due to the lack of significant wind, air quality may decrease at certain hours. From the afternoon of Wednesday (October 28), moderate to relatively strong winds are expected in the southern and western regions of Tehran. There is also a possibility of temporary dust in the southern and western borders of Tehran.
In conclusion, Ziaian referred to the issuance of a yellow weather warning regarding the activity of rain systems and stated that these weather conditions will continue in the coming days in areas of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, southern and western Isfahan, northern and northeastern Fars, Hormozgan, western and southern Kerman, and southern Sistan and Baluchestan. In susceptible areas, there is also a possibility of dust and hail.
