The new price of raw milk in Iran has been announced as 60,500 Tomans per kilogram. This price has been approved considering the favorable conditions for milk production and the support of rural cooperatives for livestock farmers. Despite concerns about milk accumulation in some provinces, farmers in most parts of the country currently have no issues selling raw milk.
Production and Export Status of Milk
The Vice President of the Agricultural Commission of the Cooperative Chamber stated about the status of raw milk production: "Raw milk production is estimated to exceed 13.5 million tons by the end of this year." This statistic indicates that despite existing challenges, the milk production industry is growing. Additionally, due to currency fluctuations, the export of powdered milk is in a favorable position due to its competitive advantage.

Support of Rural Cooperatives for Livestock Farmers
With the entry of rural cooperatives into the purchase of raw milk in two provinces, livestock farmers will benefit from necessary support. This action has been taken to prevent milk accumulation and maintain market stability. Azad, the Vice President of the Agricultural Commission, announced that farmers in most provinces have no issues selling raw milk, but there were challenges in two provinces that required support.
These developments in Iran's milk industry, especially in the current economic conditions, reflect efforts to maintain market balance and support producers. According to Azad, the export of powdered milk has gained a competitive advantage due to currency price fluctuations, and for this reason, the export status of powdered milk has also improved.
Overall, considering the current conditions of milk production and market, it is expected that the price of raw milk will be influenced by economic changes and market needs in the near future. This could impact the lives of livestock farmers and consumers, and it is essential for the relevant authorities to closely monitor these conditions.
