Mohammad Alhadad, the CEO of Tavanir, in his recent press conference, referred to the measures taken to get through the warm season, reviewed the status of the country's electricity network, and announced the possibility of blackouts in the winter season.
Reduction in electricity consumption demand and improvement of network quality
Alhadad stated that this year, compared to last year, the demand for electricity consumption has decreased by about three percent, saying: "People have responded very well to these measures, and we have been able to achieve this reduction." He also referred to the improvement in the quality of the electricity network and added: "The limitations caused by frequency reduction have decreased by 43 percent, and the voltage status of the network is also very suitable. Last year, we had 850,000 instances of disconnection and reconnection across the country, which this year has decreased by 54 percent to 389,000 instances."

Reduction of restrictions for industries and industrial parks
The CEO of Tavanir emphasized that restrictions for industries have been reduced, stating that petrochemical industries received six times more energy. This has significantly impacted their product production chain, including the chemical fertilizers needed for agriculture. Alhadad added: "In mid-summer, the restrictions for industrial parks were reduced from two days a week to one day, which was somewhat compensated by moving to Friday."
Initiation of measures for the winter season and challenges of war
He further referred to the initiation of measures for the winter season, stating: "We started these measures last Wednesday, but the war hindered the implementation of development projects. Every year, in addition to economic measures, we carry out projects to develop the network and infrastructure to increase electricity supply to residential sectors." According to Alhadad, 70 critical projects have been defined for optimizing transmission networks, for which appropriate funding has been allocated.
Development of renewable energy and international cooperation
The CEO of Tavanir also referred to the development of renewable energy, stating: "In the field of renewables, we have increased from 1,250 megawatts to about 6,000 megawatts." He also mentioned Iran's cooperation with some regional countries, saying: "Recently, we had networks in Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Georgia, and we were able to assist in restoring their networks in a short time. This is an honor for our colleagues in the technical and network management sectors."
Given all these measures and advancements, Alhadad emphasized that despite the existing challenges, cooperation and solidarity between the people and officials can help improve the electricity situation in the country. He also pointed out the importance of planning for the winter season and called for serious attention to this matter.
