Mohammad al-Bukhaiti, a senior member of Yemen's Ansar Allah movement, stated in an interview with the media that stopping the war is primarily in the interest of Saudi Arabia. He expressed that the current conditions and the costs of the war could severely impact Saudi Arabia's infrastructure and put the country at risk.
Heavy Costs of War for Saudi Arabia
Al-Bukhaiti pointed out in this interview that the continuation of the conflict benefits no one, and especially Saudi Arabia should consider the consequences of this war. He said: "The cost of the war with Yemen will be very heavy for Saudi Arabia because all of Saudi Arabia's infrastructure will be under attack." He also addressed the issue that Yemen has the capability to shut down all airports and ports in Saudi Arabia. This claim somewhat indicates the strength and readiness of Yemeni forces to respond to any aggression.
Yemeni Forces Ready to Respond
Al-Bukhaiti emphasized that the armed forces of Yemen are prepared to respond to any aggression with a proportional response. He stressed that Saudi Arabia must understand that the solution does not lie in internationalizing the war or expanding the fronts of war within Yemen. These statements clearly demonstrate the determination and will of Yemeni forces to defend their homeland.
This senior member of the Ansar Allah movement also highlighted his and other members' efforts to establish friendly relations with Arab and Islamic countries. He said: "We strive to have friendly relations with all Arab and Islamic countries, but we oppose foreign domination over Yemen." These statements reflect Yemen's desire to establish peace and cooperation with its neighbors.
Finally, Mohammad al-Bukhaiti emphasized Yemen's readiness to confront any country that enters this war, stating: "Despite our commitment to limiting the conflict with the Saudi enemy, we are prepared to confront any other country that enters this war." This statement somewhat reflects Yemen's steadfast determination to defend itself and confront any external threats.
