Cultural Diplomacy Precedes Political Diplomacy
The minister further stated that cultural diplomacy precedes political diplomacy and can play an effective role in aligning global public opinion. He added: "Iranians abroad are not only representatives of our culture and history, but they can also act as cultural ambassadors in their host communities."
This official also referred to the necessity of rebuilding and deepening relations with Iranians residing abroad, saying: "We must strengthen these relations using modern cultural tools and, in this regard, design and implement diverse programs."
Development of Cultural Tourism
The Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts also emphasized the importance of cultural tourism as one of the effective tools in creating cultural communications, stating: "The development of cultural tourism can help better understand the culture and history of Iran on a global scale and thus improve relations with Iranians abroad."
It seems that under current conditions, cultural diplomacy holds special significance and can serve as a bridge between Iranians inside and outside the country. Given the political complexities, this type of diplomacy can be proposed as a new path for strengthening relations and creating solidarity among Iranians.
