Ayatollah Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, in a message to the thirty-third National Prayer Conference held at the Holy Shrine of Razavi, emphasized the importance and necessity of performing prayers in the Islamic community. He referred to the blessings and spiritual effects of prayer, introducing it as one of the greatest divine gifts and reminding everyone, including officials, of the necessity of paying attention to this obligation.

Prayer, a Spiritual Connection with God

The Leader of the Revolution described prayer as "the thread of connection for each of us to have a close and direct relationship with the infinite source." He added: "Prayer is the elixir of salvation and the cornerstone of a pure life," which helps individuals triumph over worldly challenges and the temptations of the self. In his view, performing prayers is not only an individual duty but also a sign of a righteous governance and should be regarded as a principle in social life.

Collective Responsibility in Performing Prayers

Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized that today the conditions for the power and status of the Iranian people have been established, calling on all segments of society, from parents and teachers to cultural and social institutions, to play an effective role in performing prayers. He also stressed the importance of institutionalizing prayer in society, especially in mosques and educational centers, considering it a prerequisite for achieving an Islamic civilization. The Leader of the Revolution regarded the role of Friday and congregation prayer leaders in this regard as very important and called for their attention to the concerns and feelings of the people.

In conclusion, Ayatollah Khamenei expressed hope that the Iranian nation, with divine grace and the prayers of Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance), would succeed and be blessed in performing prayers and benefiting from its blessings. This message reflects the firm determination of the Leader of the Revolution to elevate the status of prayer in the social and cultural life of the Iranian nation.
