Masoud Pezeshkian, at the inauguration ceremony of the 1405 Population and Housing Census held today, Sunday, emphasized the importance of educating the next generation, stating: "We must bring our students to a place where they are the best and the brightest. Pezeshkian continued by pointing out the key role of the budget program in guiding thought and construction in the country, stating: "It is you who guide in the budget program how to think and how to build." The President pointed out that this approach can align everyone on the path that needs to be taken, stating: "The choice is ours; when we are able to choose and prepare the ground, we can bring our education, management, and execution to that point."
The Centrality of Data in Decision-Making
Pezeshkian emphasized a data-driven approach in carrying out actions, stating: "Now these actions are based on data. He added that when we reach this stage, we will be able to manage, supervise, evaluate, and intervene, and see whether matters are progressing based on rights, justice, and fairness or not.
He pointed out the necessity of providing infrastructure for decision-making, continuing: "This is a great task; all those who are working hard, God willing, must step forward with strength in gathering this data so that we can realize the rights of all people based on justice and fairness as they are."
The Need for Transparency and Pragmatism
Pezeshkian, in another part of his speech, referred to the people's dissatisfaction, saying: "Our duty is to implement justice and rights; but why are people dissatisfied?" He noted that people see more political disputes than justice and rights, stating: "Arguing leads nowhere; whoever claims to be honest, this is the ball and this is the field; act more correctly, be more efficient, and carry out tasks with less cost. A person's actions are what reflect the truth and correctness of their work."
