At the tenth national conference on 'Islamic Spiritual Health', Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of serving the people, stating: All my actions are solely for the pleasure of God, and I have no expectation of worldly rewards or compensation. He expressed his main concern and fear is the day when he stands before God and is questioned about what he has done during his service.
Human Nature and Social Responsibility
Pezeshkian referred to divine nature at this conference and explained that God has entrusted this truth within human beings. He stated: "If every person returns to their nature and essence, these noble perspectives and values will awaken within them." He believes that human nature is such that it delights in helping the oppressed and aiding the poor, and is averse to injustice.

Pezeshkian also pointed out that even if an individual takes a different path in practice, when they witness scenes of sacrifice and problem-solving by others, they unconsciously admire and praise it. He continued: "When a person can dedicate their time to serve those in distress and rescue them, would we have any problems?"
Knowledge, Science, and Human Duty
The President reminded that we possess knowledge and understanding, noting that the belief and conviction that we should use knowledge and understanding to alleviate the troubles of the people is sometimes forgotten. He added: "God has given this knowledge, skill, and expertise so that we can save 10 to 100 people depending on what we believe. If we can do such a thing, then we will be a model for the people, and every person with any belief who acts this way is a Muslim."
Pezeshkian emphasized: "Martyr Beheshti in his book 'Truth and Falsehood' from the perspective of the Quran says do not look at what the person says, but see how they act. When you see they are truthful, honest, service-oriented, fair, and just, this is Islam and they are a Muslim." He also added: "But if they act contrary to these, lie, slander, and do not help the people, no matter what language they claim to be Muslim, they are not a Muslim."
At the end of his remarks, Pezeshkian asked God to assist him and others to be able to serve their dear people and added: "Unfortunately, we have shortcomings and deficiencies in many areas. We must see ourselves and our own people instead of looking at others and foreigners, and know that we must be servants of these people."
