Manouchehr Khajeh-Dalouei announced today, Tuesday, October 20, in a press conference for signing a memorandum of understanding with a Qarz al-Hasna bank that with the aim of financing the housing project for the underprivileged titled 'Hope Houses', a 200 million Qarz al-Hasna loan will be provided to the underprivileged and needy. This action is aimed at providing shelter for the underprivileged and addressing their problems.

History and Mission of the Housing Foundation

The head of the Housing Foundation referred to the mission of this foundation in providing housing for the underprivileged, stating: "The Housing Foundation has pursued its activities in this regard based on the policies set by the late Imam (RA) and by establishing the 100 account." He added that providing shelter for the underprivileged who lack housing has always been one of the foundation's goals, and this foundation strives to implement effective programs by utilizing its capacities and collaborating with banks.

Details of the Hope Houses Project

The housing project for the underprivileged titled 'Hope Houses' is a comprehensive program in cities and villages across the country. Khajeh-Dalouei emphasized that the Housing Foundation had previously undertaken supportive actions in villages to provide shelter for people and assist in housing construction. Fortunately, since last February, a cabinet resolution has been obtained for providing housing for the underprivileged in cities and villages, and based on that, special facilities have been allocated for implementing this project.

The head of the Housing Foundation emphasized that the foundation's resources have been focused on implementing the housing project for the underprivileged, and in the agreement made with the Qarz al-Hasna bank, a loan of 200 million tomans has been allocated for each housing unit. This facility will be provided to applicants who fall within the income deciles one to four and have a green 'J' form.

Conditions and Facilities of the Project for Applicants

Applicants must meet two conditions; the first condition is to be in the low-income deciles of society, and the second is not to have received government housing assistance previously. Khajeh-Dalouei stated: "Eligible applicants can utilize the facilities provided in the project from anywhere in the country." In cities, the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development is responsible for providing land, and this land will be provided free of charge to applicants.

The head of the Housing Foundation added: Land provision in existing cities has been carried out and will continue. In this regard, memorandums of understanding have been signed for land provision for 75,000 units with relevant organizations, and the process of land allocation is underway.

According to the latest reports, the executive operations of 105,000 units out of a total of 220,000 units planned in the Hope Houses project have begun, indicating significant progress in this program. In this project, the people themselves also participate in the housing construction process, and the Housing Foundation will pursue the issuance of building permits for applicants free of charge.
