Chamran also spoke about the need for coordination with other agencies to maintain the gardens. He pointed out the possibility of Metrobus buses circulating from the city's squares, stating that these buses can easily turn around in the squares and their planned routes are completely direct.
Control of Hazardous Pits and Urban Safety
In response to a question about the status of the Milad Tower pit, Chamran said that this pit has been made safe, and with the cooperation of the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters, safety operations have been carried out at this location. He also referred to other hazardous pits, including the one associated with Babak Zanjani, and stated that these pits have been addressed. If the owners do not take action to ensure safety, the municipality will intervene directly.
The head of the Tehran City Council clarified regarding the status of the Tehran International Exhibition and the possibility of relocating exhibitions to Shahr-e Aftab that the programs presented so far have not attracted much audience and emphasized that exhibitions should be held in a way that does not create problems for citizens. Chamran also mentioned that there has not yet been success in acquiring land for the construction of new cemeteries in Tehran.
In conclusion, the head of the Tehran City Council referred to the issue of metro ticket prices and said: "Currently, people do not pay the full cost of the metro ticket; one-third of the cost is covered by the government and another third by the municipality. If the actual cost of the ticket is calculated, it will be much higher." He also pointed to price increases within the framework of the general economic conditions, stating that despite inflation rates of 47 to 48 percent, the increase in metro ticket prices has only been 15 percent and urban development fees 30 percent.
