Although the activities of turn takers at fuel stations caused quite a stir due to a few advertisements, the presence of these service providers is not limited to reducing wait times at gas stations; traces of these newcomers can also be found in other centers such as medical facilities, embassies, vehicle clearance centers, and even online appointment systems.

Sometimes, when the gas station line becomes quite long, if a vehicle hasn't arrived yet, other drivers are not surprised if it makes its way to the front of the line, knowing that a turn taker is waiting at the front to hand over their spot to the new arrival. Nasser, one of the workers at a gas station in the southern part of the city, introduces the newcomers to the ins and outs of the job and says: "You have to leave home at dawn to take turns for those who are in a hurry to get to work. Finding customers for turn takers is not only done in person; many of their arrangements are made over the phone or online. Posting advertisements on free classifieds or virtual groups helps them find their customers more easily. One of the ads states: "I will take your turn at the fuel station for you."
The rate for taking turns at gas stations and medical facilities is not different, ranging from about 300,000 to 350,000 tomans. Turn takers in medical facilities also set various rates for taking appointments with general practitioners and specialists.
