Keramat Veys Karami, the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, recently reported a strange case in the refueling patterns of vehicles. He announced that in the past month, an individual visited gas stations for refueling 105 times. This puzzling issue is significant not only regarding consumer behavior but also in the context of fuel consumption management.
Analysis of Refueling Patterns
Veys Karami explained the refueling statistics by saying: "Studies show that 51 percent of individuals in the examined period visited gas stations only once, 24 percent twice, 11 percent three times, and 14 percent more than three times for refueling." He added that those who refueled only once received a total of about 21 million liters of gasoline, while the group that visited more than three times consumed about 24 million liters of gasoline.

The Importance of Identifying Refueling
The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company also referred to the importance of the refueling identification scheme. He stated that by using recorded information, it is possible to easily identify unconventional patterns. He said: "This information allows us to adjust fuel consumption management policies based on the data obtained when necessary."
In one of the examined cases, an individual visited 38 stations and received tokens 98 times. The total gasoline received by this person was about 2,337 liters, and specifically on the day of Mehr 30, he applied for tokens four times and refueled a total of 95 liters of gasoline.
This data and information can serve as a suitable basis for a more detailed examination of fuel consumption patterns and help increase transparency in fuel consumption management. Veys Karami emphasized that by implementing the refueling identification scheme and analyzing the data, it is possible to identify unconventional cases and make more precise decisions in this area.
