These statements reflect Pakistan's positive approach towards Iran's proposals for improving security and economic conditions in the region.
Emphasis on Ceasing Hostilities and Facilitating Energy Supply Chains
Dar emphasized: "All efforts should focus on ceasing hostilities, facilitating the energy supply chain in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab-el-Mandeb, and we sincerely call for the implementation of the Islamabad agreement." This issue not only helps energy security in the region but also strengthens relations between the two countries.
The Foreign Minister of Pakistan also referred to the upcoming official visit of Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, to Pakistan, stating: "This visit can help strengthen international and regional cooperation."
Ishaq Dar, in another part of his remarks, spoke about an important bilateral meeting he had with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, mentioning that the current situation in the region was discussed in this meeting. These discussions reflect the determination of both countries to cooperate on urgent and key regional issues.
Finally, while Seyed Abbas Araghchi had previously announced on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly that Iran's seven-point plan had been conveyed to the Americans through a Qatari intermediary, Ishaq Dar, as Pakistan's representative, referred to waiting for an official response from the U.S. through intermediaries.
