The Persian Gulf treatment plant is increasing its capacity to meet the water needs of parks and green spaces in the area. This action is being taken due to the growing demand for sustainable water resources and their optimal management in District 19 of Tehran.
Project Details of the Treatment Plant
Hadi Motaghi, head of the Technical and Civil Engineering Department of District 19 Municipality, informed reporters about the progress of the new unit of the Persian Gulf treatment plant project. He stated that the reinforcement of the foundation for the SBR (Sequential Batch Reactor) unit with a capacity of 5,000 cubic meters per day is currently underway. After completing this phase, the construction of the main structure of this unit will also begin.
Goals and Consequences of Development
Motaghi explained that the development of the Persian Gulf treatment plant aims to increase the capacity for water recycling and provide the necessary water for green spaces. This project will not only contribute to a more sustainable water supply for green spaces but will also assist in the optimal management of water resources in the area alongside the construction of storage tanks and other related infrastructure.
Given the climatic changes and increasing water demand in urban areas, the development of such projects can help preserve water resources and improve the quality of life for residents. This action also reflects the attention and commitment of urban management to creating green spaces and improving environmental conditions.
In conclusion, this project is considered an effective step towards sustainable development and the protection of water resources in Tehran. It is expected that with the operation of this treatment plant, better conditions for green spaces and urban living will be provided in the future.
