Hossein Tabrizi, the director of the series 'Motherland', recently expressed his views regarding the new changes in the broadcast schedule of the networks that have incorporated series airing every other day. He pointed out that this sudden change could affect the storytelling process and the audience's connection with the series, highlighting the need for informing the creators before production.
The Impact of Broadcast Schedule Changes on Storytelling
Tabrizi stated that the series 'Motherland' was designed to be aired every night, saying: "Certainly having several different genres throughout the week is good, but a sudden change of method, from airing every night to every other day, should be communicated to the creator before production." He noted that this change could impact the audience's motivation to continue watching the series and that the screenplay should be designed in such a way that after each episode, the viewer feels inclined to continue the story.

New Challenges in Series Production
This director emphasized that airing every other day is not necessarily a bad thing, stating: "From now on, this method of broadcasting must be considered in the structure and screenplay, so that the audience receives stories that can accommodate this type of broadcast schedule planning." He also pointed out that changes in the broadcasting method should be made in such a way that not only the quality of storytelling is preserved but also the viewing experience of the audience is not affected.
Tabrizi further referred to the new challenges that these changes bring for the creators, saying: "Creators need to think about how they can create engaging and lasting stories that are compatible with this new broadcasting method. In fact, we need to start thinking about designing the structure of future stories now so that we can align with the new broadcast schedule without compromising quality."
Nevertheless, Hossein Tabrizi looks hopefully towards the future of series production in Iran and believes that if production teams can adapt to these changes, they can achieve new successes. He concludes by wishing his audience success and good experiences in watching new series.
