Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Javad Haj Ali Akbari, the temporary Friday prayer leader of Tehran, emphasized the necessity of revising the country's nuclear doctrine during this week's political-religious sermon at the University of Tehran, announcing that this demand has been raised by the Iranian nation.
History of Iran and America's Confrontation
Haj Ali Akbari referred to the historical roots of America's enmity with Iran, stating: "This enmity is not limited to recent events and its roots should be sought in the coup of August 19, 1953." He added that this confrontation has continued for about seven decades, shaped by various interventions from the U.S. and its affiliates, including the Pahlavi regime and Saddam.

Confronting Global Arrogance
The temporary Friday prayer leader of Tehran emphasized that the Iranian nation, relying on faith and unity, stands against the pressures of global arrogance, saying: "Our forces are ready, and the people will not abandon the field. This continuous and radiant presence of the people is one of the main components of the power of the Iranian nation." He also stressed the necessity of maintaining unity and integrity in the country, adding: "In contrast, the enemy's front is caught in chaos and desperation."
Haj Ali Akbari further referred to America's requests for negotiations, stating: "The Iranian nation will not be deceived; experience has shown that when the Americans talk about negotiations, there may be a more serious danger and conspiracy underway."
He also mentioned the Iranian people's demands for revising the nuclear doctrine, saying: "This demand is not a hasty reaction, but rather stems from national maturity and awareness. The enemies have crossed all red lines of the Iranian nation, and with a painful experience from the behavior of the other side, the Iranian nation is now raising this issue."
The temporary Friday prayer leader of Tehran noted that this demand is rooted in the right to a dignified life for the Iranian nation and should be addressed. He urged elites and experts to study this issue and present their proposals, announcing that any decision made by the Supreme Leader will be followed by the nation.
