Hojjatoleslam Kazem Soleimani, the head of the representative office of the Supreme Leader at Iran University of Medical Sciences, stated in an interview about the necessity of managing the university environment after recent developments that we do not have a bipolar situation in the university. He clarified that the opposing pole is the foreign enemy, primarily Netanyahu. Within the country, there may be differing opinions on how to address various issues, but these differences should not be interpreted as the formation of two poles in the university.

The Necessity of Dialogue in the University Environment

Soleimani continued: In this recent war, some individuals have differing opinions about the government and even some issues of the regime, but this does not mean they are opposing the country. He also pointed out that those he describes as agents and mercenaries of the enemy are outside this discussion. Among those who fundamentally agree on confronting the U.S. and the Zionist regime, there may also be differing views on how to address and resolve issues.

Promoting Free Thought Forums

The head of the representative office of the Supreme Leader at Iran University of Medical Sciences emphasized the role of professors in managing the university environment, stating: If professors want to engage in this matter, they must certainly do so. It is natural for incoming students to have many questions and doubts. Initially, professors themselves must be informed about these questions to provide appropriate answers to the students.

He also mentioned the potential of free thought forums in universities and stated: One of the ways to address students' questions is to seriously establish these forums. Soleimani announced that the office strongly supports these initiatives and is ready to cooperate in this regard. He emphasized that we must allow students to discuss and converse with each other in a calm and logical environment.

Soleimani concluded by announcing the idea of an "Idea Café" at the university, saying: This initiative can create a space where students from various fields and viewpoints can come together and discuss different topics. He noted that the only way to achieve greater empathy and understanding is to open the door to dialogue.
