Hashim Beikzadeh, a former defender of the Iranian national football team and Esteghlal, who is now working as a coach at the Esteghlal academy, spoke in an interview about the national team's situation and the criticisms of Amir Ghalenoei. In this interview, he pointed out key points that could help clarify the current status of the national team and the challenges ahead.
Criticism is Natural, but...
Beikzadeh initially referred to the criticisms directed at Amir Ghalenoei and said: "Criticism of the national team's head coach is natural. No one is without mistakes, and one cannot avoid criticism." He stated that Ghalenoei himself encourages everyone to criticize, adding: "It is not the case that Mr. Ghalenoei is upset by criticism. He has always believed that constructive criticism can help improve the team's performance."

Respect for Elders
Beikzadeh also commented on Mehdi Qayedi's remarks about not being called up to the national team camp, stating: "I heard Mehdi's comments, and in my opinion, those remarks should not have been made. One must respect their elders. This is an important principle in sports and life." He emphasized that Qayedi should pay attention to the fact that there is not much time left until the start of the Asian Cup, stressing that all players must strive to help the national team in the best possible condition.
This former defender continued: "In every tournament, new players are added to the team, and this can be a great opportunity for the team's growth and progress. However, in the meantime, respecting elders and teammates is very important."
Criticism and the National Team's Situation
Beikzadeh concluded by saying: "Mr. Ghalenoei has always said to criticize, but do not hit! This means that criticism should be constructive and free from controversy. Our goal should be to improve the national team's situation and succeed in upcoming competitions." He called for unity and cooperation among all players and the coaching staff so that they can perform successfully in these competitions.
